  1. Rob Yorke has hit the nail on the head. Its absolutely infuriating when common sense takes a backseat to overly zealous environmental regulations. These bureaucratic hurdles are strangling development projects and costing businesses a fortune. While protecting wildlife is crucial, the current approach is simply impractical. Ecological surveys for every minor development are a joke, especially when it comes to common species like bats and newts. The cost is astronomical, and the likelihood of disruption is often minimal. Its time for a more balanced, pragmatic approach that acknowledges both the need for conservation and the economic realities of modern life.
